Batzina (Squash pie)
Pies
DESCRIPTION
This is a pie in its most revealing form. Without filo, it reveals its filling and its history. It is an all-season pie, depending on the availability of materials. In winter it was a dough pie with corn flour (bobota), a little cheese, milk and eggs…In summer its taste took off thanks to the squash.
Appetizing but also flexible, from morning to evening ready to satisfy a child, a farmer or the whole family! Until today it is on the menu of our life just like back then…
