It is the culmination of years of effort, which was rewarded by the Tourism Awards jury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the Tourism Awards 2021 ceremony held at the Peristyle of Zappeion, among the winners of this year's awards was Vassilis Yiagiakos, President of the Trikala Chamber of Commerce, to receive the award won by \"Meteorisimo\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the award ceremony, Mr. Yiagiakos stated, among other things, \"Today's distinction is the reward for many years of effort for \"Meteorisimo\" but also for me personally. My belief was and is that sustainable tourism development is the one that can preserve the tradition and culture of the place that are included in the local gastronomy. The gastronomic wealth of our place is a part of our culture and heart that we must offer generously with love and care to the whole world. I want to thank the jury of the Tourism Awards 2021 and Boussias Communications for the great honor. You give us the strength to continue our struggle with the same love.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the awards \u2013 an institution of Greek tourism that rewards the excellent, the innovative, the daring who, with passion, ingenuity and authenticity, contribute to the upgrading of the tourist product of the place, \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d won an award in the Strategic Investment \/ Collaboration \/ Development category. An award for 16 years of active and multi-level action to record, highlight and promote the rich Trikala gastronomy in combination with the monastic cuisine of Meteora, from excellent locally produced products, as an integral part of the local tourist product.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMeteorisimo\u201d is being promoted through interactive modern communication media (YouTube, social media), based on targeted digital marketing for the coming years, both in Greece and abroad. Trikala gastronomy is becoming known not only in Greece but also worldwide and we invite visitors to the prefecture of Trikala on a journey of taste. To feel our hospitality, to taste our unique local cuisine, with the excellent locally produced products to which the exceptional aromatic plants of Koziakas give aroma and flavor, as well as the love and passion of the people of our place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors can taste locally produced products in retail stores bearing the \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d brand and enjoy the delicious recipes and aromas of \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d in the certified restaurants and taverns of the prefecture that belong to the organized \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d network, bear the collective brand \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d and offer the unique local flavors, just as they emerged over the years and were handed down from generation to generation with authentic recipes and the richest tasting local ingredients. \u201cMeteorisimo\u201d is our place and it is our way. It is our own comprehensive and distinctive hospitality proposal in global gastronomic tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
